About Dr. Jeehee Kim

Founder of Global Vision Outreach

Dr. Jeehee Kim has been actively involved in eye surgery mission trips since her first journey to Haiti in 2015. She feels a calling to address the acute need for accessible eye care in developing regions and has since completed multiple trips to Haiti, Guatemala, and Angola. Her work focuses on restoring sight and sharing the hope of Christ with those living in areas deprived of adequate medical care.

Dr. Kim is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea diseases, corneal transplantation, and refractive surgery. She completed her training at Duke University and is currently on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and Los Gatos Surgical Center. Formerly an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, she mentored ophthalmology residents and fellows and also served as a surgical instructor for Stanford Ophthalmology residents at Palo Alto VA Medical Center. She is a former chief of ophthalmology at Good Samaritan Hospital. Presently, she is in private practice at Polaris Eye & Laser in Los Gatos, California.

With a deep commitment to addressing international cataract and corneal blindness, Dr. Kim is passionate about reaching those in some of the most underserved areas to restore sight and spread hope across the globe. She invites friends, family, patients, and supporters to join her in this vital mission.
